Austin Mahone Being Compared to Justin Bieber, Fans Speak-up!

The inevitable comparisons to Justin Bieber don’t seem to bother Austin Mahone too much. Austin tells MTVnews:

“I mean, it’s flattering. It’s not that bad of a thing. It’s cool because he’s such an inspiration to me and he’s so successful, and I just hope that I’ll be as successful as him someday.”

The comparisons do, however, bother many Mahomies (Austin Mahone’s fans). A 14-year-old Maggie Benzenhafer tells MTVnews as she waited Austin on Time Square in NYC:

“People say that Austin is the new Justin Bieber — I don’t think that at all. I think Austin’s going to be the new Austin Mahone.”

Justin Bieber’s Second Radio Single “As Long As you Love Me”

Island Def Jam has confirmed to Billboard that “As Long as You Love Me” will be the second radio single from Justin Bieber’s new album, “Believe.”

The song has already seen some movement on the charts after Bieber released it as a promo single on June 11 in the lead-up to his June 19 album release. As of June 26th, the song charted at #21 on the Hot 100, banking 168,000 downloads. The song will get a major push on Top 40 and rhythmic radio stations in the coming weeks.

Before taking their seats at the screening of Katy’s documentary, JELENA made one young fan’s day by posing for a photo with her. Also at the premiere was rising star Carly Rae Jepsen, who posed on the red carpet with Selena.

Justin Bieber admits kissing a deceased fish for a bet was the “worst dare” he’s ever done in his life.

He told We Love Pop magazine:

“The worst dare I ever did was kissing a fish. It was dead. It was pretty gross.”

When he is not busy kissing deceased animals, Justin has found time to tone his muscles in an attempt to improve his physical and mental strength.

He explained:

“I’ve started working out more and getting a bit heavier. I’m just staying fit and active, and want to be strong physically and mentally. It’s good for touring. You’ve got to have agility.

“I also do pull-ups and chin-ups. I can do about 25 in a row. I do need to run more, I get tired easily. My cardio isn’t what it should be.”

Justin Bieber revealed that he is to record a track alongside One Direction boys; Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne on the band’s eagerly awaited second album.

Justin told BBC Radio 2:

“The One Direction guys are great. We have a lot of fun whenever we hang out. They came over my house and we were just chilling out around the pool and listening to music.

“We were talking about me collaborating with them on a song on their next album. It’s gonna be great.”

Justin also revealed that 1D are keen to work with come other big names in the music industry. He said:

“And I asked them who else they would like to work with. They were, like, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez.

“Now don’t get me wrong those are all very talented artists but there seems to be a pattern emerging and, looking at the smile on the guys’ faces, I don’t think it was all about the music…”

“They sure have an eye for the ladies but, even better for the guys, the ladies have a bit of an eye for them, too.

“From what I hear they shouldn’t have much trouble trying to persuade Rihanna, Katy or Taylor to work with them… if you know what I’m saying.”
