Justin Bieber To Co-Star With Mark Wahlberg In Street Ball Movie

Justin Bieber To Co-Star With Mark Wahlberg In Street Ball Movie

  1. Justin Bieber and Mark WahlbergJustin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg
Justin Bieber already has one of the top-grossing documentaries of all time with "Never Say Never." And he's gotten his feet wet doing a little acting on "CSI." So it just stands to reason that his next move is to full-on star in a movie, right?
Enter superfan Mark Wahlberg, who knows a thing or two about making the transition from teenybopper pinup to movie-opening star. Wahlberg — who in August said, "the world needs Justin Bieber ... Justin Bieber is like the white Tupac" — told New York magazine this week, "Justin Bieber and I are going to do a movie together."
That's right. Wahlberg said he's in talks with Paramount on the project and hopes to set the film up at the studio following his Academy Award-winning flick "The Fighter." But most importantly, Bieber is reportedly way into it and is excited to sign on for the project. "He loves the idea," Wahlberg said. "He's been sending me video, he sent me a video of himself, and, yeah, I think he's really talented."
Wahlberg described the movie as a drama in which he would play a "reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment," but cautioned that neither he nor Bieber will sing or dance in the film. In fact, last August Wahlberg said he wouldn't break his nearly two-decade-long hip-hop silence ... unlessBieber asked him to.
Deadline Hollywood reported that the untitled drama is an exploration of street basketball in which Bieber will get a chance to show off his dramatic chops. Wahlberg and partner Stephen Levinson will produce alongside Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun. The script is being written by Ian Edelman, creator of HBO's "How to Make It in America."
"The tone of the project is described as 'The Color of Money' meets 'The Karate Kid,' and it came out of Wahlberg and Levinson seeing Bieber play ball in February during a celebrity game held during NBA All-Star Game weekend," Deadline reported.
Bieber has clearly been bitten by the acting bug. In September he raved about his guest appearance on "CSI" as Jason McCann. "I liked it because you never knew what was going to happen. Now that I'm on it, it's pretty cool," he said of the show. "It opens a different audience to the show," he explained of his appearances, "and it also helps me because a new audience that might not know me is now going to see me. So it works both ways."

Biebs And Marky Mark To Team Up For Basketball Movie??

Biebs And Mark To BBall
And it's a drama!
Okay, so. We feel like we mislead you a bit because we said "basketball" movie. What we should have said was "street hoops" movie, because that's a much better fit for Justin Bieber.
Ha!
Can the Biebs pull it off? We're going to give him the benefit of the doubt for a few reasons, but the main one would be that Mark Wahlberg is taking him under his cinematic wing. We all remember where Mark started out, right?
As Marky Mark. He was last seen in the Oscar nominated The Fighter. So it can be done, and he knows how to pull it off. In fact, it was another movie that had a basketball connection that did it for him, The Basketball Diaries.
We'll be honest: The studio would be insane not to get this going.Never Say Never was made for $13 Mil, and made $97 Mil worldwide. He obviously has the draw, and we know he can act even just a little bit (CSI, baby!).
Go for it, Justin and Mark! We think the world is ready for it!
Would U see a Bieber starred movie??

Bieber’s incorrect greeting to Malaysian fans causes a flutter

Bieber’s incorrect greeting to Malaysian fans causes a flutter

jb1 Biebers incorrect greeting to Malaysian fans causes a flutter
Baby singer Justin Bieber was so beaming with enthusiasm that he made a major faux paus at his concert. The abscbnnews.com says the singer made a major blunder when he greeted Malaysian fans saying “Hello, Manila!” during a concert in Kuala Lumpur instead of “Hello Malaysia”.
A anonymous blogger wrote that “Justin Bieber staged a very successful jampacked concert in Stadium Merdeka Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last night April 21… But one funny ‘boo-boo’ happened when he showed up on stage and greeted his Malaysian fans ‘Hello Manila!’
Altogether there was no additional information as to how the Malaysian crowd reacted, the alleged gaffe drew much attention from fans, with some making their comments known via popular networking sites including twitter.
“Justin Bieber Shouts ” HELLO MANILA ” instead of Hello Malaysia .. haha Maybe he’s just so excited to come over here !! YAY,” tweeted @ClichaeyeLuvJB.
@karcellana posted, “Me: Justin Bieber said “Hello Manila” instead of ‘Hello Malaysia’ in his concert in Malaysia Ate: AWWW! *touches heart* I wanna watch!:))”
Then again there are those who were only too quick to make the incident another reason to make fun of the YouTube discovery, who is set to hold a concert in Manila on May 10.
“Justin Bieber greets Malaysians ‘Hello Manila!,’ wears a Barcelona jersey in Madrid. Justin Bieber, you need a map,” @abygo said.
This is not the first time Beiber made a boo-boo in public. Only last year the 16-year old pop star was ridiculed after a televised interview showed him looking seemingly perplexed.
Bieber defended himself on twitter saying that he could not understand the interviewer’s thick accent.
Then again Bieber had always been a frequent target of internet bloggers and message board posters notably for his appearance and his music.

Justin Bieber Hits Nine Million Twitter Followers

Think you’ve got too many friends to deal with? Justin Bieber‘s now got 9 million … but that’s a good problem to have for him.
The mighty Biebs has officially topped the nine million follower mark on Twitter, making him only the second celebrity to cross that threshold. At midday on Friday, he was about 30,000 followers beyond the significant mark. Who else in the celebosphere has hit that massive number?
Lady Gaga became the first A-lister to top nine million, and she’s already less than 500k followers shy of the incredible 10 million mark.
The Gaga vs. Bieber battle even goes beyond Twitter. The two also dueled for some time on YouTube, as their videos for “Baby” (Bieber) and “Telephone” (Gaga) dueled for the most viewed video of all time. Back in July,Bieber topped Mama Monster officially.
And just to give him another view, get your “Baby” fix below, which is currently at a ridiculous 523 million views:
