Report: Justin Bieber Paid $1 Million For Concert in Israel
Not everything went in Justin Bieber‘s favor while the teen star was in Israel this month, but if this latest report is true, the kid’s got something to smile about when he reminisces about his trip.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bieber netted himself a cool $1 million for a concert he performed in Tel Aviv. According to THR sources, “17,000 showed up for the 90-minute performance while event producers had the number at 24,000, well below the 35,000 attendees they had hoped to attract.”Israeli promoter Shuki Weiss told the site that the concert organizers “overpaid” for Bieber’s performance, and that “it’s important for every artist to come to Israel, but you need to know your crowd.”
While Bieber was in Israel, he unleashed an anti-paparazzi rant after photographers followed him as he went on a tour of the various religious sites in the country. Bieber wrote in a series of Tweets: “just wish got a little more space and privacy from the paps to enjoy this time with my family. thanks. im in the holy land and i am grateful for that. I just want to have the same personal experience that others have here. You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places. All I wanted was the chance to walk where jesus did here in isreal. They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous. People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone. Staying in the hotel for the rest of the week u happy? It’s not the fans, and some of the paps were nice enough to leave. But some people just don’t have respect.”
A day later though, he was in good spirits and played a game of basketball.
