23 year old man Arrested for Stealing Justin Bieber’s Life Size Cardboard cutout in Florida
David Dowling (23) was caught after he tried to steal the Justin Bieber’s cardboard cutout and tucked under his arm in Bradenton mall, Florida on Saturday.
According to NBCmiami.com, David Dowling made it clear to the other side of the mall with his pilfered goods, all the while being chased by a female store employee.
David and an unidentified friend couldn’t shake the employee and eventually were caught and gave back the Bieber cutout, worth $34.99.
Then, he and his friend bolted again but were caught by mall security.
After being arrested, Dowling told police he was a 17-year-old named David Michael Tan, but police found his ID with his real name.
When asked why he took the cardboard Bieber, he said: “We were just having fun holding Justin Bieber hostage.”
David Dowling was arrested for shoplifting and was released on $120 bond Monday. (Source:NBCmiami)
