Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga: “IM GONNA BE YOUR FRIEND” Campaign to SAVE CHILDREN in AFRICA
A ton of stars are using the power of social networking to draw attention for a good cause.
Celebs like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, U2, Britney Spears, Eminem, the Rolling Stones, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Beyoncé are among the over 150 famous faces who are taking part in the “I’m Gonna Be Your Friend” campaign that launched today.
According to EOnline, the goal is to raise both awareness and money on behalf of Save the Children’s efforts to help the more than 10 million people in East Africa often deprived of food, water and medicine due to “the worst drought in decades.”
All celebs involved have promised to promote a short film about the crisis, “High Tide or Low Tide,” by Bob Marley & The Wailers (Video above).
The video and song can be downloaded through iTunes, from www.imgonnabeyourfriend.org with all proceeds going to Save the Children.
