Selena Gomez Replaces Justin Bieber From #1 Spot on Social 50 Chart
According to Billboard.com, Justin Bieber has lost his title of being the king of social media – to his girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Justin Bieber was top of the Social 50 Chart, which ranks active artists on sites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
But now Selena Gomez has stormed from #5 position to #1 this week, due to online buzz and newss generated by the release of her third album ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ on June 28, her new movie “Monte Carlo”, meeting her crush “Transformer” star Shia, and many more.
On the same week, Selena gained 27,000 new YouTube subscribers; 209,000 Facebook fans and 110,000 Twitter followers.
Until this week only four acts had ever topped the new chart, Rihanna, The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
